Founded in 2020 in the heart of Cape Town, The Biltong Bandit is a proudly South African company dedicated to crafting premium, grass-fed beef biltong that delivers unbeatable taste and genuine health benefits. 
 

Our mission? To bring South Africans a bolder, healthier snack made the right way. That means clean-label spices, zero junk, no artificial flavour enhancers and 100% grass-fed beef - no grains, no routine antibiotics, no added hormones. Just pure, uncomplicated nutrition.

OUR CLEAN-LABEL PROMISE


We believe you should recognise every ingredient in your food. That’s why our spice blends are crafted from whole spices and herbs you could find in your own kitchen.

What's Inside Our Spice Blend:
We use a simple, powerful combination of salt, coriander, pepper, nutmeg, and clove. For our chilli variants, we add chilli and ginger for a natural kick. We enhance this base with natural Yeast Extracts for a rich, savoury depth of flavour, completely avoiding MSG and any other artificial flavour enhancers.

For preservation and tang, we rely on Salt as well as Buffered Vinegar Powder, a natural and effective alternative to synthetic preservatives.

We source our beef from selected farms where cattle are certified grass-fed, pasture-reared, and free-range. We maintain full traceability from farm to fork.

OUR CERTIFIED PRODUCTION PROCESS



We combine traditional methods with modern technology to guarantee safety, quality, and perfect flavour in every batch.

PRECISION MARINATION

SLOW-DRIED

MAP SEALED 

Beef is vacuum-tumbled with our signature clean-label spice blend. This ensures deep, even flavour penetration and optimal tenderness throughout every piece.

The meat is then cured slowly in a carefully controlled climate. This traditional method develops the authentic texture and concentrated flavour of true biltong.

Finally, we use Modified Atmosphere Packaging (MAP). This natural process replaces the air in the packet with a protective gas mix, extending shelf life without the need for added artificial preservatives.



We follow this certified production process to ensure every order delivers the same superior flavour and quality our customers have come to love and expect.
